A celebrated specialty from Kanimeshi Honpo Kanaya in Oshamambe, Hokkaido, this traditional crab rice has been loved since its creation in 1950. Flaked crab meat is slowly cooked together with bamboo shoots to bring out the crab’s rich aroma and flavor, creating a distinctive combination of tender crab and crisp bamboo shoots. Developed in response to customers asking to enjoy the famous ekiben at home, the frozen version is rapidly frozen and vacuum-packed to preserve its traditional taste. Simply heat it in the microwave and enjoy a taste of Hokkaido’s classic Oshamambe ekiben at home.
